For a memorable dining experience, we invite you to visit our Four Diamond award ~ winning Rose Garden restaurant, serving dinner nightly.  Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Arturo Montes, returns seasonally and combines years of experience from other outstanding resorts in Maine, Vermont and Jamaica. 

The Rose Garden Restaurant is well known in Bar Harbor, Maine as a fine dining restaurant providing excellent food, wines and outstanding service.  The cuisine is Contemporary American Regional. The restaurant is a very popular destination for special occasions and for diners looking for a big city restaurant in a quiet Bar Harbor setting. 

The Rose Garden Menu

Since 1999, The Rose Garden has served an excellent “Three Course Prix Fixe Menu” that continues to be a favorite.  In 2004 the menu was expanded to include a spectacular “Five Course Prix Fixe Tasting Menu” and recently, the chef developed an "a la carte Menu" to complement the prix fixe menu and accommodate our guests desiring a lighter dining option.  The menus allow the chef even more of an opportunity to be creative with fresh seasonal food, both locally and from all over the country.  It also gives our guests a chance to experience a greater variety of dining selections.  The menus will change regularly and we will offer our wine recommendations by the glass to accompany each course of the menu.   

The Rose Garden Wine List

At the restaurant our belief is that the wine selection is as important as the food we present on our menu.  The perfect choice of wine with a meal is very important to create a “memorable” dining experience for our guests.

Our wines are carefully selected for their quality, relative value, and most importantly, compatibility with our cuisine.  The wine list has grown to nearly 300 selections served by the bottle, half bottle and glass.  In addition to numerous wines from California and other areas of the United States, we also have extraordinary selections from France, Italy, Australia, Spain, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, Argentina and Chile.  We are proud of our eighth consecutive Wine Spectator Award. 

Dinner is served from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.  We suggest dressy ~ casual attire.  Jackets are not required for gentleman.  Reservations suggested, please call 207-288-3348.  Room service is available during dining hours.

Children 10 and under are welcome to dine at the 5:30 p.m. seating in The Rose Garden.

Breakfast fare is available daily from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. at our Rinehart Wonder View restaurant, which in addition to excellent food, features Bar Harbor's best panoramic view of Frenchman Bay.
